Last year the National Eucharistic Revival, led by Minnesota's own Bishop Andrew Cozzens, sponsored four Eucharistic Pilgrimages, one from the north, beginning at the headwaters of the Mississippi in Lake Itasca State Park, one from the south, one from the west, and one from the east, converging on Indianapolis, the site of the 2024 National Eucharistic Congress.
Twelve Nativity parishioners attended the Congress last July. Several Nativity parishioners were at the beginning of the north route last summer in Itasca, and many of you participated in the north route as it moved through northeast Minneapolis or from St. Paul Seminary to the Cathedral of St. Paul on that storm-threatened summer day.
Continuing the impact of the four regional pilgrimages last year, the Revival will sponsor the St. Katharine Drexel route this year, from Indianapolis through the midwest, south, and west towards San Diego and Los Angeles from May 18 - June 22. See https://www.eucharisticpilgrimage.org/.
The pilgrimage will visit the tomb of Venerable Servant of God Archbishop Fulton Sheen, the Shrine of Blessed Stanley Rother, and stop at several missions in Southern California. Another highlight of the journey is a stop at St. Michael Church near Window Rock, which is the capital of Navajo Nation.
Frances Webber, one of our parishioners who attended the National Eucharistic Congress last July, is among the twelve young adults who will accompany our Eucharistic Lord across the country this year by foot and van. See https://www.eucharisticpilgrimage.org/perpetual-pilgrims/frances-webber for more about Frances. You may also help sponsor her if you desire.
The Perpetual Pilgrims would be honored to carry your prayer intentions across the country and present them to Jesus. The pilgrims will place your intentions at the altar during the offertory at the Corpus Christi Mass in Los Angeles. Click here to submit your intention.
