With a new calendar year upon us, I’d like to share with you some changes to our parish staff here at Nativity of Our Lord.
As we announced a few weeks ago, our Director of Discipleship Mahalia Marcelin (pictured below right) is leaving her position on December 31. We again thank Mahalia for her years of service to our parish.
Additionally, our Parish Business Administrator Laura Barr (pictured above right), has also moved on from her leadership role at Nativity. We greatly appreciate her many years of service as well.
We will now engage in a strategic and collaborative search process to fill both positions to ensure sustained financial health as well as to continue our vision of discipleship.
I will be working closely with our parish trustees, Christina Crow and Tom Tucci, along with our Finance Council in the months ahead as we seek to better understand the needs of our parish. In the meantime, we have contracted with Lighthouse Strategic Solutions, a company that has also supported the financial management of several Archdiocesan parishes during staffing transitions.
We want to ensure that your needs are met during this transition in leadership. We apologize for any delays in responding to your inquiries, questions, or concerns related to our financial operations so far, and appreciate your patience as we move forward.
