Teaching Parish Seminarian Introduction

My name is Ian Willnerd, and I am Nativity of Our Lord’s new teaching parish seminarian. Many of you might have seen me over the past few months.

Throughout my ongoing four years of theology at the St. Paul seminary, I will be learning about parish ministry from Fr. Tollefson right here at Nativity. 

I am a native of Boise, Idaho. After falling deeply in love with Christ and his Church in high school, I heard his call for me to give my whole life to him as a priest. After studying philosophy at Bishop White Seminary in Spokane, Washington, I was sent to St. Paul to complete my theological studies.

I am excited to be a part of the Nativity community. I will be at Masses one Sunday a month, and getting my feet wet in many of the other ministries of the parish.

Thanks to all the people who have been welcoming to me over the past few months. It is my hope that I can interact with many more of you over the coming years!
